Another stay in Amsterdam
This week I decided to test two smaller apartments, or studios if you like, in Amsterdam. Amsterdam apartment Studio Boom and Prince Monaco (that sounded like a contradiction to me: smaller apartment Prince Monaco).
Amsterdam apartment Studio Boom
For me the apartment was a perfect fit. Big enough, nice kitchen, great bed and a view on the water. Studio Boom was very close to the new market where I could easily catch my daily metro. The "Hemelse modder" is now one of my favorite restaurants, its at the Oude Waal. A must visit and please take the dessert!!!! Another nice restaurant was "Looks" a bit more trendy but very good food!
Amsterdam apartment Prince Monaco
Thought it was a small apartment but just found out it has four sleeps. Next time I can ask some friends to stay in Amsterdam! The apartment was nice, well decorated and near the canal and right at the Prinsengracht, close to the Jordaan - which is a nice and cozy area!!! I just found out it is discounted for the entire months of July, so perhaps no new apartment the next trip!
Festina Lente on the Looiersgracht is a great place to enjoy your dinner. Looks like a living room. Thats just a 5 minutes walk (or even less). The Elandsgracht nr. 14 Divan, a Turkish restaurant that is worth a visit.
Nielsen is a great spot to have breakfast and lunch, it is at the Berenstraat 19. Don't like it? Try Hein it is at nr 20. I liked both of them.
I am a good food addict, hopefully it will save you time and money finding good spots to eat!!
In 2 weeks time I am back for another short-stay in Amsterdam. I will rent an apartment in Amsterdam and keep you all posted. I will try to write about other items too, not just about the restaurants in Amsterdam ;-)
