Well, as normal as life usually is, eh?  Heh, heh, heh...

I can't believe it's 3 full weeks since we came back from holiday and found the mangled mess on my doorstep...  Amazingly the car is still in for repair, the garage hasn't been repaired yet and I'm still driving around in a rental car (well this is WA, the 'Wait A'while' State...)

At least come Wednesday the 8th I should have my car back looking sparkly and in full working order and come Monday the 13th my garage will be replaced, so not much longer to wait, but lots of hassle and at a time that I could have really done without it!

To take my mind off of all the grumbling that I'd normally be doing about something like this (these web entries are nothing - trust me!) I've been working far too hard, leading probably in part to coming down with the cold last week, but fingers crossed it's all been worth it and there should be a purchase order put in place this week for about $2million business for the company - not bad, eh?

When I haven't been working far too hard, we've had a good number of nights out, including a charity Ceilidh in Subiaco a couple of weeks ago - lots of fun with Sophie, Dug and Ally (there were obviously other folk there - about 50 - otherwise it'd've been a fairly boring dance, eh?) .  We also had a works afternoon out, taking in a wee wine and beer tour of the Swan Valley on Friday afternoon - very drunken and lots of fun, followed up by a vodka cocktail tasting at the Parmelia Hilton Hotel (nothing but the best for us!) and a few more drinks with Sophie once she'd finished work (and incredibly she survived dealing with 'Drunk Mark...'  Sure that deserves a special award or something!)

This Saturday we got tickets for 'Scared Weird Little Guys' - comedians from the East coast and they were absolutely brilliant.  We started the evening off getting a meal at Bar 185 in the Chifely Hotel on St George's Terrace.  Incredible food, and in the Entertainment book so much cheapness (You can take the lad out of Aberdeen, but you can't take Aberdeen out of the lad!) then off to the show at 7.30pm at the Playhouse Theatre.

They're musical comedians, so popular songs with comedy lyrics and stuff like that - just brilliant and at 1-1/2 hours just not long enough!  Would love to regurgitate some of the comedy but as usual my memory has let me down - it was quiet memorable hearing 'Waltzing Mathilda' to the music of Eminem...  Brilliant!

A quick drink afterwards with Mike and his girlfriend Lisa and it was time to head home, still smiling (and not because of the alcohol!)

These past three weeks have also been a bit of an anomaly with pretty much rain the whole time.. Lads At The Ceilidh...

.  The reservoirs definitely need the weather but to be honest I think we're all over it now - bring on the sunny weather and summer time!

The Touch Rugby Season is about to start as well, so stay tuned for stories including injuries, gross refereeing injustices and the occasional try-scoring glory of course!  Heh, heh, heh...
