Hmmm...

All this travel, I'm not quite sure where I am, who I am let alone what time it is!  Arrived back from PNG via Cairns and Sydney early for a change - a miracle considering the flight into Cairns was delayed and then when we finally did land and get to immigration here was an American exchange student group in front of us...  40 bl**dy annoying kids messing around - didn't think I'd ever get through.

Finally I was on my way again only to find that there was chaos in the departures area of the Airport too...  The queues were a nightmare and merged into each other from every angle.  Since I have Silver Wing status I thought I'd try and speed things along in the Business Class line - still over 30 minutes of standing around till check in followed by about the same in the security line - ridiculous Shawn's 21st Birthday Nite - 1

.  At least the flight had a slight delay on it, giving me enough time to get a new book to read (seem to fly through novels with all these flights I'm taking!)

Sydney was a breif stop and a punctual departure before heading back home.

Sophie was waiting for me at the airport and my bag even made it home too - then we were off home!

A quite weekend was planned, with Shaun's 21st Birthday bash on the Saturday night and then Suse and Dale's BBQ on Sunday afternoon.  Shaun, from boot camp, had a do on one of the Swan River boats.  It was a really nice sit down meal with lots of alcohol followed sadly by some pretty shocking singing from the staff...  Still we all had a good nite and then the last few weeks caught up with me so we headed home (via the pub to watch the end of the NZ / SA Tri Nations game...  Heh, heh, heh...)

Sunday BBQ was fun as well, lots more of Soph's friends and even more 'little people' running / crawling / dribbling around the place...  Somewhat different from an afternoon with the lads (well, apart from the driblbling, eh Dougal?!?) but all good fun.  Suse is running the Gold Coast marathon with Sophie and Dale her husband and kids Harry and Taliah are all gonna be there to cheer them along.

Before I knew it it was time to get up on Monday morning (where does the weekend go?!?) and a few hours in the office before, yep, you guessed it, back to the airport.  This time Brisbane and a business trip followed by a week on the East coast on holiday...

Bring it on!
