Well, after much cajoling, and actually a bit of planning for a change, I organised my house warming for 317 Oxford Street...

Having already managed to work it around the rugby weekends, holiday weekends and various other celebratory weekends I thought I was onto a winner with the 31st of March, only to find that this was the weekend of the 'Blues & Roots' festival in Fremantle...  D'Oh!

So, although I had a great turnout (about 45 folk in all by my count) quiet a few couldn't make the drunken journey back up the coast from Freo to enjoy my party...  Ah well, maybe the next one, eh?

It was an excellent nite with celebrations starting at the Oxford Bar from 5pm (why we felt the need to start in a pub beforehand when the house was full of booze and food I don;t know, but never mind!) and then went on at the house until around about 4am.. House Warming 01 - Sam and Andrea...

.

The house and contents did actually survive remarkably dmage free in the majority...  The only 'blip' on that record being the destruction of my downstairs toilet...  Somehow it was manouvered off of it's cement base and the pipes at the back disconnected...  Needless to say it was quickly maked out of bounds and a temporary fix-it plumbing job on Sunday seems to at least have it working properly - think a more permanent fix will require a trip to Bunnings - at least to keep it working until I get it all rennovated...

Still, that aside there was more than enough food, beer, wine and spirits to keep the entertainment going and as hopefully the photographs show, everyone had a great time...  For some reason I was quite lax in my photographic duties for this party - usually I manage to get so many more - must have been too concerned making sure everyone was having a good time (or maybe just taking more of an interest in having a full glass all nite?!?  Hmmm...)

A big thank you to everyone who made it along (Dougal, Jason, Marcus, Jon, Shawn, Mikie, Lisa, Shann, Sarah K, Tanya, Allan, Sam, Stu, Phoebe, Lorn, Stuart, Jill, Carolyn, Marcus, Sarah L, Lauren, Tahira, Ashleigh (and mates!), Bek, Amy, Nada, Georgiana, Bernie, Sarah J, Doug, John Mack, Bernie, Fawzia (and your mate!), Wendy, Craig, Peta (and your mate!), Steven, Andrea and Mike...  I'm really sorry if I'm missed anyone off the list - blame the alcohol consumption for memory loss!)

It may be some weeks (or months) before I forget how terrible the clean up operation was on Sunday but I'm sure in time (and with alcohol!) those horrors will be forgotten and I may one day have another party...

Watch this space!
