Yep, after a marathon 25 hours of travel, not to mention a power cut at Aberdeen airport (typical!) Mum and Dad arrived safe and sound at Perth International Airport. A short drive back into town took us through the man CBD and a quick look at the city for Mum and Dad before heading on to their appartments beside Kings Park.
Tired and a bit out of sorts no doubt after the distance travelled, we sat and had a nice cup of tea and a catch up before passing out in the amazing bedrooms of the Quest Rheola Appartment complex (Mum and Dad's home until I move into my new place on the 6th of April.)
Poor Mum & Dad must have been tired since I was the first one up and about, and had to even get them going! We enjoyed a wander into town on the Sunday morning and a visit to 'The Lucky Shag' bar down by the river, lunch in the 'Moon & Sixpence' and a few photographs along the way A very tired Mum and Dad!
A very tired Mum and Dad!
. That was pretty much enough for the first day as jetlag overtook the folks (and I just fancied a kip!) so we headed back for a snooze before heading back out in the evening...
A delicious Chinese meal in a restaurant in Northbridge with a couple of drinks in the 'Brass Monkey' and we were home for a good sleep.
Monday morning had us heading to Cottesloe Beach and Kings Park, with me surprising Mum and Dad with my new car - an Audi A4. I hed decided that with the new job and car allowance that I deserved something special. Dad was a bittie jealous but he'll get a chance to drive it during the holiday so that should keep him happy!
Evening meal at Vulture's Restaurant which I'd recommend to anyone visiting Perth - excellent food!
