Took the day tip up to the top of the Country today. Instead of a Magic bus, both Magic and Kiwi Ex use a company called Awesome Adventures to run the bus tour - standard coaches can suffer on 90 mile beach.

The trip takes in many sights on the way up, with a trip up to the cape to see the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean meet.

After that we went to the beach for lunch and then hit the dunes for some sandboarding. I managed to get all the way down the dune, across the River / Road ;-) and though the car park, coming to rest under the bus. I did 4 runs, each of which meant climbing up the 80m dune.

The run back was down 90 mile beach, with a stop to find and eat some Tuatua -  a shell found just under the sand. Fom here we made out way back and grabbed some fish and chips to cap the day off.

The evening was spent getting smashed. Not a great move, but hey.
