On Sunday evening, Bill and Liz dropped us off at a service station on their way back to BA. We were once more travelling on our own again and scheduled to catch the overnight bus up to Iguazu. Iguazu is on the boarder with Brazil and Paraguy and is the location of an immense set of waterfalls some 2.7km long and 80m high.

The expected departure time of 9.30 came and went with no sign of said bus. By 10 we were feeling slightly concerned and by 10.30 resigned to being stuck on the forecourt over night in the middle of no where! Luckily it had just got delayed on the trip out of BA and we were soon sleeping in luxury reclining seats on the top deck.

We stayed in the Hostel Inn Iguazu which was amazing! It had a huge pool and great facilities. We were in dorms which was a great way to meet people, most of whom were on some form of round the world trip. Unfortunately Mark had a snorer in his dorm who fortunately checked out the second day only to be replaced by another snorer - what are the chances. We can now confidently answer the question about what backpackers do all day - it seems to involve relaxing by the pool drinking beer, chatting, playing volleyball and ping pong or reading in a hammock...I think we could get into this lifestyle!

The falls lived up to their reputation and were really impressive. We viewed them from both the Argentinian side and the Brazilian side (another stamp in the passport). We also took a jet boat ride up the canyon, the main point of which seemed to be to drive the boat right under a couple of the side falls in order to nearly drown us.
