We sadly droppped the van back to the rental company in Christchurch, but still quite thankful that we hadn't trashed it or had any mechanical problems. We kind of knew that this was the end of our last big adventure of the trip so we were both a bit down beat espcially as we'd got used to having the freedom of a vehicle again.
We'd both had a fantastic couple weeks and the trip will easily rank as one of our highlights. The freedom of being able to go where we wanted was a great change to the usual public transport that we were used to and had enabled us to see some great stuff that we would of otherwise not have seen.
