For dinner we had an massive portion of chicken and chips with some ensalada (salad, thats how awesome our Spanish is getting!!). We also realised our hostel was located right next to a night club, so we spent all night listening to music and sweating thanks to the lack of fans!
We spent just 1 night in Trujillo which we had to do while we waited for a room to come free at a nice hostel Jade has picked out for her birthday. The hostel we found here was pretty crap with a saggy bed and no fan or aircon. Still it was cheap and ok for 1 night. We walked around to the main plaza, seems every town in South America has one, which is really nice and big, surrounded by brightly colored buildings and a church. After sitting down for a few minutes we were approached by a man from iperu again asking if we needed anything. We spent 20 mins chatting and asking about some foods and drinks we could try in Peru and he told us some good places to try. Already it seems Peru has invested some money into tourism recently as people have been really friendly and helpful to us without us even asking. We also went to a mall to try and find a guidebook for Peru which involved us getting squeezed into a minivan full of 30 people. Not that fun when its really hot to be honest. We made it although the shop selling the guidebook wanted £30 which is a joke so we found the minivan again and headed back.
