After an electric storm 'till 1am, we got up at 4.30 to head off to the Mayan Ruins at Tikal. 100's acres of temples and pyramid spread out through the jungle in the north of the country. Having climbed 3 of them and trying not to slip on the descent, it was time for a cold beer and breakfast. This was only 10am. scoured around the palaces a little more until the heat became unbearable and then headed back to Flores (our base) for lunch and (you guessed it) a beer.
