Belize Hospital

We headed for Belize's famous capital, Belize City. Hardly a city, it's so small but we were only after a good doctor. Emma's bowel status has not got any better so we need to find a doctor. The private clinic next to the hospital took a blood test and the size of the needle made my eyes water. She held my hand VERY tightly! The other sample wasn't so easy to deliver, on this occasion, so we had to return the next day. It turned out to be Amoebic Dysentry. After a course of antibiotics all should be ok with a careful diet. This meant chow mein, partly because it s plain and partly because we are sick of rice and beans and dying for a Chinese... it was expensive but so worth it... we even went back the next day!
