Well, Bariloche was a quaint town situated on the shore of a beautiful azul lake. You could eat chocolate here until you would need assistance to roll over in your bed. The chocolate shops are insane, with chocies piled up to the roof. We sampled some of Bariloches finest, and it was goooood. The town is chocolate shop, next door to a sports shop, which is next door to a fashion shop, which is next to a chocolate shop - and so on. We decided Bariloche deserved a big a night out with us. We went down to the center of town and got started. First stop was the "Map Room", which was having happy hour - US75c for a beer! We punished a few of those, and then headed of Antonio's the best steak house in town. There was a damn queue - 1.5hrs long! We ended up at Antonio's pasta restaurant (in a different area), and it was good. We wined and dined of some fine pastas and great Malbec wines, rather unhealthy, but great. We went the healthy route too, and booked onto a mad white knuckle white water river rafting trip

. We were taken to the river, 100km away, through the most amazing scenery, finally arriving in a remote area of the Argie outback - base camp. After hooking up the boats, grabbing paddles and donning the wetsuits and helmets we were ready to go. Next thing we were back on the road in the bus, in full gear! The boats were finally dropped into the river a few km's away and we were ready to go. Ali and I were put on the Spanish speaking boat, as there were to many English speakers, and that is where it got quite funny. The guide was barking weight left, weight right, left side paddle forward, left side paddle backwards etc, but all in Spanish. There was plenty of confusion, and delayed reaction to the commands. The rapids were fun, but not that big, so we made it through despite our doing mostly the opposite of what the guide told us. We were promised a kickass BBQ following the rafting, and by the time I dragged my hungry belly to the table, I was ready to destroy some medium rare cow. Tray upon tray of sausage and steak was rushed onto the table, and the eating began. We maxed out!! One criticism of the Argie BBQ's is that they over cook the meat, but it still tastes like good cow should - have we mentioned how good looking the cows are yet?
