I was almost proud that I didn't jet lag. However, it soon took its toll and I realized that travelling has an adverse affect on my appetite!
It was slightly late in the morn when I awoke. My aunt and I set off together. It was a day which was planned to precision. Quite truthfully, all we had to do was follow the instructions which were so aptly and completely given by Shyna. That girl is a marvel! After breakfasting on delectable muffins from Starbucks, we set off immediately for the Empire State building. I was treated to one of the most magnificent and spectacular views ever! The skyscrapers of New York cover in from most sides, while the remnants are given to the Hudson River and distant views of Central and Bryant Parks.
That afternoon we eat Mexican lunch at Chipotle, which was followed by a visit to the New York Stock Exchange. From there our ramble around Wall Street began in hunt for the 'Merrill Lynch Bull'. We took a detour right through the financial center, and were almost out of breath as we finally reached the celebrated bull. Our visit to 'Ground Zero' (the site where WTC stood) was slightly gloomy, but it truly taught me to value life. It was a fulfilling day, and we also took the subway system to get home!! The evening boasted of superb kebabs and hamas for dinner, which we ordered home. Later in the evening Shyna and I set off for an evening stroll. I do not know how far or for how long we walked, but it honestly was "a walk to remember".
I need hardly add now how bowled over and besotted I was with New York City! More thumbnails ...
