Today is the tour of San Francisco, starting with a coach tour that took us up Nobb Hill, down the steep hills into Union Square, to City Hall and up to the 'Twin Peaks' for a view over the city and through the Golden Gate Park.. Then onto the base of the Golden Gate bridge for photographs (The bridge was dull orange rather than Golden!!) The coach then took us over the bridge to Sausalito where we sat down for Fish and Chips!  After exploring Saulsalito and getting big bag of sweets each we caught the ferry back to San Francisco going past Alcatraz on the way. Back onto  the coach again and  down to Fishermans Wharf, most of the coach party are going for a Chinese meal tonight so only had 20 minutes at the wharf to look around, but we are not going for the meal so will explore at Fishermans wharf and make our way back ourselves.
We went down to Pier 39 to see the sealions, we had been warned about the distinct smell but fortunately the wind was blowing out to sea and it wasn't a problem. I had expected a few sealions but every inch of jetty was covered in lazy sealions stretching and yawning.
We walked along Fishermans Wharf and went into a large museum of old mechanical fruit machines, mechanical musical pianos and lots more, so I had to change some dollars and have a go on some of them. Russell had a go on an old helecopter game that he last played about 40 years ago!!
Richard was in charge of the map and directed us across the city to find Lombard Steet, the steepest street in San Francisco. We found the street and lots of Japanese tourists!! and me and Richard walked down and back up.. We made out way slowly back to the hotel through the steep streets.
