Where I stayed
This time I visited Cavender's. I'm very happy to say I found the brown version of my boots, along with a black belt with a snazzy silver buckle. (I'd already found a brown furry belt in Paris.) Since I was carting around one big box and didn't want another, I asked was a way to travel with my boots? Why, yes ma'am, we have boot bags! Luckily, I found out there were plain canvas bags before leaving the store with the pimpy leather ones that looked like a bad 70s patchwork purse; you know, the ones that looked like they were stitched together under a haze of hash or something? I turned down the boot trees, and they didn't have any boot shapers for the leg, but now my boots - which are accessories - officially have their own accessories: boot bags.
Well, that night I did a little research and found out that, yes, I did need boot trees. Otherwise, when I take them off and they're nice and warm, the toes might curl up as they cool. The boot trees prevent that, and I don't do elf boots, so back to Cavender's I go. Now my boots have another accessory: snazzy cedar boot trees.
And, after a visit to Bed, Bath & Beyond, my boots have their final accessory: boot shapers.
Whew! What I need now is the ultimate accessory: a cute cowboy to carry all this crap to my truck. Yes, ma'am!
P.S. Here are the ultimate boots I'd love to have: www.corralboots.com/noname87.html. Ain't gonna happen.
