Where I stayed

As some of you may know, I have very little family. It is really just my dad and my brother. Sunday night I gained myself some new members. My dad took his girlfriend and her sons, their wives and some of their children out to dinner. I had never met any of them. More curious than anything as I had heard so much about all of them. We all met up beforehand for some pre-dinner drinks. My brother and my best friend, Marieke came along.

It was almost like I found the long lost family I never had. Getting along really well and feeling comfortable enough to talk about just about anything. I should really upload some pictures but don't have any. (Niels, can you email me the ones you took?)

After a restful night on an air mattress, yes, apparently I can sleep pretty much anywhere except for a comfortable bed, flew out to Rome. Rented a small Fiat Brava but instead they gave us a Lancia Yetta. Definitely an upgrade. Scenery reminds us both of the South of France. Hilly, green, little country houses and sun, oh glorious sun.

Arrived at Coldimolino at 930pm. Was lovely to see my best friend Brenda, has not changed a thing since I saw her last. We picked right up were we left off. The hotel room is beautiful, luxurious. Slept like a log but woke early. Then today off to the council to finalise preparations for the wedding…

Suffering slightly from nomophobia. Definitely a problem for me. Access to e-mail, twitter, skype is a basic need, at the bottom of my little Maslow’s pyramid.

My internet access is sketchy and sporadic at best. I will try and upload photos tomorrow. I am terribly worried about disappointing Jamopo. Took some portraits, scenery and general touristy pics.

Tonight I am taking Brenda, her future husband and Marieke for dinner in Gubbio. Salivating thinking about Italian food.
