After seeing Camilla and Patrick off, I met up with my friend Jo, who recently moved into a brand new designer home in Auckland. I am so impressed with many of my friends' living arrangements, they live in such style!
After a short visit, in which Jo helped me plan my north island jaunt, I flew off to KeriKeri, or The Bay of Islands, and here I am now, enjoying this beautiful country.
More to follow, for now find some photos taken in Russell, the very first town New Zealand town. Because of its northern-most point, Russell was first port of call to navigators like Captain Cook! So they have a great town museum with a replica of his ship The Discovery, lots of whale bone, fishing paraphernalia. It's a history buff's, as well as sailor's, paradise here. I think of how many of my friends and family would love the New Zealand I have seen so far. Absolutely gorgeous. More to follow.
