Found out last night when M tried to check-in online with Nokair that it wouldn't let us book a seat but more worrying was the fact that the time of departure was now 13.05 not 11.20. We finally managed to speak to a customer service lady who confirmed that it had changed and was surprised we had not been advised to. R's email address. It will probably turn up at some later date. This gave us time to have a coffee and pastries at the wonderful Tops supermarket next door to the hotel.
We had exchanged Christmas presents earlier with surprise from both of us. Plenty of nuts and eatables from Sula so that we would not have to carry extra weight in the future unless you count body fat!
Checked out of the hotel and arrived at the airport at about 11.00 to check in and wait for a 12.45 boarding time. Our seats are not together but one behind the other so we shall have to see if there are any spare seats when we get on board.
Not a hope as the plane only held 31 people and the rubber bands were working to capacity! It was a propeller plane called a Nokair Mini but the service was good as usual with a sweet bread bun inside which was a sausage and minuscule amount of bacon. M went to the loo and returned saying that there was no way that I would fit into it. Luckily I didn't have to. We were met by a luxury people carrier plus driver and translator and driven 30 miles from Udon Thani to where the boat was moored at Nong Khai on the Laos/Thai border, all for the cost of £2. At present we are now waiting on another large coach for the other 7 passengers that are coming through immigration from Laos to be taken to the boat.

Ok so now we are all nine of us on the boat with eighteen crew to serve our every need and Tony tour chide and Alex cruise director. The boat is lovely made of teak and very characterful if squeaky. Our cabin is snug but has everything we need. We/I will have to be tidy. I am currently blogging from under my mossie net, having been bitten when we went for a drink earlier.
We were served a four course meal and got to know oneanother a bit. Busy day ahead tomorrow .w
