Almost everyone knows the Death Road and a lot of people told us it was a great place to do by bike.
I was a bit scared about it as people had died there (including tourists) but Clement really wanted to do it. At the end, the road was not so scary and the views were very nice even though we were not lucky and the day was quite cloudy.
We started on the snowed mountains of the Cordillera Real and 67 km later we were in the jungle.We have been through different landscapes and climates only in few hours of bike, which made the experience really special. During the trip, we could see a lot of crosses and even a car that fell 3 years ago, killing a whole family. Few years ago it was the only way to go to Coroico from La Paz, but now there is another bigger road, so this one is only for bikes and some small cars.
In the afternoon we arrived at Coroico, a very small village on the top of a mountain, were we relaxed and rided horses for a couple of hours with an authentic cowboy. It was really funny.

El Camino de la Muerte I
. Yo tenia un poco de miedo, ya que mucha gente habia muerto (incluyendo turistas), pero Clement estaba bastante entusiasmado y me convencio. Al final, la carretera no era tan peligrosa y los paisajes que vimos eran impresionantes, aunque no tuvimos mucha suerte con el tiempo ya que el dia estaba bastante nublado.
Comenzamos en las montañas nevadas de la Cordillera Real y en 67 km en bici ya estabamos en la jungla. Cruzamos diferentes climas y tipos de paisajes solo en pocas horas en la bici y esto hizo que fuese una experiencia realmente especial. Durante el viaje, pudimos ver muchas cruces e incluso un coche siniestrado hace 3 años que mato a una familia entera.
Hace pocos años era la unica via para llegar a Coroico desde La Paz, pero ahora existe otra carretera y por esta solo pasan bicis y pequeños coches.
Por la tarde llegamos a Coroico, un pequeño pueblo en lo alto de la montaña, donde nos relajamos y montamos a caballo durante un par de horas. Fue muy divertido.

No digais que no es muy peligrosa que le quitais el atractivo a la cosa... Maria lo habras dicho por la family no??? Pues os digo yo, que la he bajado, que es muy peligrosa. Y suerte teneis de estar vivos...
