Our last stop in Peru was Puno, a cold village without any charm but in a privileged place, the Titicaca lake. We only spent there one day before crossing the border with Bolivia.
We left this country full of contrasts thinking we had loved every place, even though we were quite tired of paying triple or more only because we were foreigners (it seems it happens the same in Bolivia).
As it was a national party in Bolivia, the border was full of cars and people making party, even the police. After a couple of hours we arrived at Copacabana, on the border of the Titicaca lake as well. This place was the chaos, maybe because of the bank holidays. In this country, national celebration means massive consumption of alcohol and everyone in the streets was totally drunk from 7 to 77 years old. We spent there a couple of days, sailing on the lake, enjoying the fireworks and the party in general, until we took a boat to go to "Isla del Sol", an island in the middle of the lake. We walked from the North to the South of the island, with amazing views of this huge and beautiful lake and as the day was very sunny, we could see the Cordillera Real with its impressive snow-covered mountains.
What we really love of our trip is that we discover amazing places almost everyday.
