Lets just say my sleep last night left much to be desired: 4:30 am wake up- thinking that someone was trying to break into my room via the roof. I froze for 5 seconds( not quite sure why one does this when clearly there is someone in the bed- it's not like if I stay still an intruder will think I am not there) anyway... After about 15 seconds I realise the noise I'm hearing is from a herd of rats residing in the ceiling doing 10x100 relay in rat Olympics... Backward and forward up and down for the next 2 hours! At first I was thankful it wasn't an intruder then I was horrified that I was sleeping under loads of rats. The first thought I had was... OMB!!! (Oh my Budda:) what if there were loads of rats in my actual room... ??? After that thought there was no chance of any further sleep!

Next thing I went to go take a morning crap( excuse the details- not very lady like I know but this story won't have the same effect without details) but anyway.... Now the toilette gets blocked and it overflows!!!! It's 4:45am... I have 100 rats above me and the toilette is overflowing and im just thinking to myself.... really??? Is this REaLLy the situation I should be finding myself in when on holiday???

Anyway...7am arrives and I march down to reception and I tell them... This is jus not gonna do... I want a new room and I don't want it on the ground floor and I don't want it in the same complex as my first room... Sure thing he says... No problem.... So I pack my bags and when I'm bac kin the afternoon they have moved me about 10m away to a delightful little room on the upper floor. I open the door and I am we'll pleased , innnnit??? Beautiful interior with a ladder leading to the loft.... Nice decoration....

With a smirk on my face I unpack and go down for dinner. I then load a few pics on FB as you do and e decide its time to go take a showering in my brand spanking new room...

I joke not.... As soon as I arrive... I hear a big crash.... From the ceiling of this room... I look up and true as freaking Bob - those freaking smelly dirty grey assed rodents followed me... It's to 11pm and we r leaving n the morning and I just cannot be assed to go and ask to change rooms also because we have a severe communication problem with reception. So it becomes evident that score is slowly progressing to 2-0 to the rats and i Am going to have to endure this for one More night... I'm going to have to use the ear plugs that were purchased to keep noisy backpackers out and use them to keep the rat Olympics noise out...

At least the toilet works :(

Why do the bad things always happen to the good people?

My ony concern is that there is a ladder in my rom which leads up to rat Olympic stadium (loft) and I'm concerned that the rats will eat through the wooden cover and come crawl all over me during the night... Please say a payer for me.... Update to follow in the morning... Unless I have become rat bait by then!!! Well, I have had hepatica a and B and Rabies shots so that should have me covered just in case....

I'm being punished for Eating that tarantula!!!

FYI - the hotels names is 'natural bungalow' e erythronium else is nice about it- it's on the river it lovely- but the rodents had to ruin it all......

Its not about 'bad things happening to good people'... its about having another unique and scary story to tell!! An experience you probably will never forget:)
Plus, it could have been worse.... :p

I think it's very possible that tarantula is somewhere having a laugh right about now :) xxx
