After getting off the overnight ferry from Split to Rijeka at 7am. We picked up th e hire car at 1pm and headed down the coast to Pula? a roman town with a large ampitheatre in the centre of town. We had a steak for the first in 7 weeks with mushroom sauce. The next morning we headed to Rovinj, it was like little Venice out on the coast line. the water splashed up upon the buildings and there was a lovely church on the hill. It had a great fruit market in the centre of town. The weather turned bad and we had lunch in the car? again salami and cheese on nice sunflower seed buns. After lunch we headed up the coast to Pirin, Slovenia. Again a small coastal village. The boarded crossing was very simple and quick.
