Klaus advised me to stay at a place on Camiguin Island called Jasmine by the Sea. It is a really nice place right on the Ocean run by a really friendly family and serves awesome food. The first day here I hired a motorbike and hit the ring road which goes all the way round the outside of the Island. One of the highlights of the day was swimming in the volcanic hot springs which are a series of pools fed by the hot springs.
Whilst I was there I did a lot of reading and relaxing and a bit too much eating and drinking. I met a German Australian bloke who had been staying on the Island for 2 months and redefined my concept of what it is to drink to much. This bloke would emerge at about 11 am every morning already drunk out of his mind before drinking beer all afternoon and rambling on about anything and everything before passing out and doing it all again the next day. He was tolerated by the staff at Jasmines though, especially because he bought a satellite TV and air conditioner for his room which he left there when he departed about a day before I did!
I had a nice dive on the last day there at a place called the Old Volcano which is the side of an old dormant Volcano and had a nice variety of fishes and corals to look at. Unfortunately though it was a bit rough and I only just manged to make it back to land before losing my breakfast. I don't think the beers the night before helped.
