Back in XIV Century
Entry 3 of 12 | show all | print this entry |
After 3 days of beach, sun, smelly toilets and very friendly people (except that bastard who stole money and ID to a nice girl we met there, while he was swimming with one of us), we thought it was time to move!
So we took a train to the heart of Provence, and it was Avignone! A nice city, famous for the Popes Palace (where many popes lived for 1300 to 1400) and the Saint-Bénezet bridge. We stayed in a nice camping (Bagatelle) on an island in the middle of the bridge. There was also a big swimming pool, but we didn't had a chance to use it. We spent most of the time enjoing the city. It was a quiet city, with not much going on at night.
We met an italian, Carlo, who moved to France and marryed a french girl. He was very kind to us and gave us information on where to stay in Paris.
