Easy journey to Puerto Viejo and had met up with Chris from New York who was also in the hostel in san jose so we went searching for a place to stay in the town and that proved pretty easy. Thank god the Carribean sea is much warmer than the pacific and swimming was a pleasure here. Was funny puerto Viejo just has little dirt roads going though it and a few horse's wandering about and sure enough the horse's go down to the beach lay down and sun themselves. Dont take too long to explore the town and get offered any kind of drugs you want... seems to be a trait all along the carribean.. always lots of drugs offered. plenty of people sit at the local bars smoking joints (never found out if it was legal there or not) but i dont think anyone cares. You can get really good seafoof here too and as it was my last nite in costa rica i may as well order whatever... definitly spent a lot more money in cosat rica in 3 days than anywhere else. Still had time for plenty more swimming or so i thought until i had to make a mad dash to catch a bus to the Panama border of Sixola.

Wow
I had no idea drugs were so prevalent on the streets. It's probably a good idea to steer clear while you're traveling though...
