There was now 4 of us who made it to San Juan del Sur, harti, rosco, iwona and me, so after a brief viewing of a couple of hotels we got sorted and hit the beach. There was some sort of motorcycle convention on too so there were groups of Hells Angels on their Harleys from all over central america there. The beach is in a bay and looks great so not wasteing anytime i headed straight for a swim only to discover that the pacific was fecking freezing... talking about irish kinda water temperatures here despite the weather being in the thirties... was funny but took a bit to get used to but we stayed in and had a great laugh body surfing the waves. Spent some time then in some of the local bars and restaurants and soaked in the atmosphere and all had a few beers back at the hotel before heading back out again for a few more drinks and meeting several random weirdos. All in all San Juan del Sur is pretty cool and if you are up for surfing there are lots of good surf beaches nearby.
