The bus trip from guatemala to Honduras was reasonably foolproof but took a while and crossed thr border no worries where i met 4 ozzies and an american who were travelling together. They were going the same way as me. So we all took the bus to San Pedro Sula the second biggest city in Honduras and probably the nicest... very american in sme ways and parts are very affluent. There is so much banana plantations in this part of Honduras its ridiculous. Anyway we changed buses and san pedro and took a taxi across town to another bus station to catcha bus to La Ceiba on the coast which is the gateway to the Bay islands and Utila. At this stage i was on buses for about 7 hours and tired but we booked into the Banana Republic hostel in La Ceiba and raided the ATM machine before having a cracking meal in the Expatriots bar and a few drinks. It was straight onto the local Cigars then and a drink back at the hostel. Early Wednesday morning it was another taxi out to the port of La Ceiba and all aboard the Utila Princess bound for Utila in the Bay islands.
