Rio Dulce and a road trip

Well geting from Punta Gorda to to Rio Dulce proved a lot of fun. An hours boat road to Puerto Barrios where i had to go through immigration and get the passport sorted and it was straight outa there cos its a kip on another boat to Livingston which is another little bit of the Carribean with more of a Belize feel. Didnt even make it off the boat to be offered drugs or a donkey ride.. i was all set so sorted out lunch and took a look about before i took another boat cruise up river to lake izabel where the town of Rio Dulce is. This is a beautiful boat ride and you see all the locals fishing in tiny dug out canoes as the boat meanders through lush jungle and high cliffs. When the boat finally made it to Rio Dulce there was definitly an air of wealth around with so many yaghts and big ass houses right on the river. Anyway i booked into Brunos hotel which was pretty nice and wandered about the town which i really liked. The highlight of this area is definitly the lake and river views where i was quite happy to hang out.
