Sunday morning myself and Hartie left Lake Atitlan for Chichi and the crazy market.. A 2 hour crappy bus journey ensued to get there and into the market. I had been to a lot of markets in Asia but this one was crazy busy and hard to walk about.. As usual they had a lot of stuff and loads of food stalls and stuff so that kept me well busy eating all kinds of local dishes and cashew nuts. It was quite an interesting day but as we were already heading for Tikal in the north and there wasnt a lot else in Chichi besides the market we took a bus north with the most crazy directions.. another 3 hours back to Antigua and then a short wait with an hour and a half in the wrong direction to Guatemala city.. and i can confirm that is is a dirty and dangerous city so after waiting there a few hours it was an 8 hour journey to Flores in the north of Guatemala just south of Tikal.
