Always like to arrive in new places when its bright and as i dont know Wellington at all it was nice to get there in the early evening.. Now all i needed was a hostel that had car parking.. First one i found was full but just around the corner i found Rowena lodge which was grand and about a 10 minute walk into the centre of the city.. happy days.. SO off i went to have a look around and get something to eat. Tuesday i took a walk up Mount Victoria which gives you a really good view over the city. From there i made my way through various parts of the city and onto the cable car which took me up onto the opposite side of the city above the university. Blessed with the weather finally too.. I decided to give my work office a ring to see what work was going on about the place, and called into the office there to have a chat with them. They wanted me to start work straight away but i decided that would be a bit of a shock to my system and told them i will start the following monday so i can carry on travelling about for a few more days. I went out for dinner again and took a quick look at where i would be working.. its only work for 2 weeks anyway before i go to Tonga. From first impressions i quite like this Wellington place.. seems to be plenty going on and its quite clean and modern... So differnt to christchurch or any other city i have been in in the south island..Parts of it really reminded me of San Francisco between the style of houses and the hills so kinda looking forward to living here for a wee bit.
Wednesday i checked out of the hostel and took a look at the map to see where i could head next..
