I had hit the road for Haast coming from Wanaka.. but i didnt realise is there is feck all to see in Haast itself.. but no matter i was too tired to keep driving anyway.. i had come through Haast pass in the dark and i know its supposed to be scenic but not too worry.. hopefully see it on way back. Haast was dead it was pissing rain and there is only one place to stay so i checked in there.. met dave, dimitri and louise in the hostel there and they were heading the same way as me only reason they had stopped there was they ran out of petrol...lol. .. the hostel was freezing too. Anyway up the next day so i headed on for Jacksons bay.
