Been a couple of busy weeks.. The week after Kaikoura and hanmer springs it was more work which at this stage i was well tired of. Got to play interclub badminton which is pretty good and the weekend of 11th of may was a busy couple of nites out on the town. Myself and Karl also got our names up on the Guinness 100 pint club in the Bog...i.e you drink a 100 pints in that one bar and your name goes on the wall.. Quite an achievement.. lol.. Well we did complete the task a few weeks before this but it takes them a while to get the engraver out. It will make good photo when i eventually get around to geting one.
It had been really cold over that weekend and i had been wearing two jackets all the time so i wasnt impressed at all when at end of nite both my jackets had gone missing from a bar we were in.. was supposed to go to another bar but seen as i got so cold walking about in a t-shirt at 3 in the morning i went home
When it came around to thursday i had already had enough of work so i finished up and told me boss i would be sick friday.. so went out with a few of the lads from work then.
On the thursday nite i was on my way round to cliff's to watch a dvd.... fairly dodgy area and what pass'es me only two dodgy fucker's and one of them wearing me stolen jacket. (they both kinda looked like ex-cons) Asked him where he got it and answer i got was the salvation army shop.. i left it at that as i didnt think my chances of geting it back were very good ... that and it was a fairly scabby old jacket i had claimed off my brother years ago.
On friday i got around town a little and myself and Alison went out to lyttelton for lunch which was pretty cool..
Saturday made it out to see the International Antartic centre at the airport which was good fun.. maybe a tad over priced though.. but u do get a trip off road in a Haggalund which is one of them snow jeep things. Sunday i had the badminton trials for canterbury which went good and have got onto the canterbury badminton team.. which i find funny as ive only been here playing with them a few weeks. So supposed to have matches in june july and august all going well.. Managed to go ice-skating with the rest of the house mates sunday too which i was pure awful at.. but at least i didnt fall.
Our two Chilean housemates Ale and Gabi moved out on sunday too so the house was pretty much dead quiet at this stage
Monday and tuesday it was back to doing a few more tourist things around christchurch so myself and Alison made it to the Gondala ride which is one of them cable car things that brings you up the mountians and gives you a great view over the city the Alps and the Pacific ocean. Also made it to the canterbury museum and the botanical gardens for a look and met up with cliff, SJ and deanna for drinks on me last nite and a feed of pancakes in Dennys too.
Wednesday 23rd of may was move out day and on the road south heading for Oamaru to see Penguins and Dunedin for the Otago open badminton championships..................and will add photos later

. No sign of jackets next morning either so i had to go buy a new fleece.. (twist to this story later)... Sunday we went out for karls last nite out and we met up with brad and paul from work for a few drinks. Brian, suzzana and karl all headed off then on monday the 14th for travels. I handed in my weeks notice to work that day figuring i would finish the friday and then take a few days off to do some tourist stuff about the city before hitting the road. i spent the rest of the week playing more badminton and got asked to go for trails for the Canterbury badminton team which was kinda neat. . she had got the sack from work that week as she told them she was going home to scotland...lol.. although she wasnt too phased.
