Busy weekend planned..or half planned i suppose you could say.. It was all Super 14 rugby again friday nite for the Crusaders last home game.. so myself, alison, suzzana, brian, karl and cliff got tickets for the Tui's stand and in we went. You have no option but to drink the Tui's beer once in but this week they didnt give me any free stuff but it was good fun.. Although the Crusaders did loose to the Chiefs. Once the match was over we hit a bar i dont know name of on Fitzgerald ave and made our way on then to sullivans where we met up with jeff from work.
All  fresh i was the saturday morning so myself and karl headed off to pick up brad from work to head off for rest of weekend. Brain was to come with us but the looser was ill and cried off on us. So the three of us headed off for a two hour drive ish north heading for Kaikoura. We took karls car which i wound up driving as he wasnt so fresh and wanted a cure for the road. The drive up to Kaikoura is pretty stunning and Kaikoura is famous for Whale watching.. seals and dolphins. We lucked out big time with the weather and it was really warm and sunny... sweet. When we hit Kaikoura we hit the beach and had a few drinks taking in the view. Then decided to find a hostel which was smack in the middle of town.. Once we had the famous fish and chips we hit the strawberry bar and the Adelphi bar.. both were quiet for a saturday but we had a great laugh. Sunday we spent wandering about the cliffs and hit the seal colony for a look.. The seals were all lying out in the sun... being pure lazy.. (hundred's of them).  The cliff walks were good although the exertion nearly killed the two lads. Next stop Hamner springs
