They have a few extra holidays in this country that we dont have and one of them is Anzac day which is a war memorial day... anyway we got the day off from work..paid of course so to take advantage myself Alison and Karl hit the road and headed for Banks penninsula for the day this is rite out near Akaroa and the whole area is stunning.. I followed some dodgy road for a few hours and it turned out to be all gravel tracks up and down mountains which over look the sea and penninsula.. Very scenic.. Unfortunatly had to go back to work the rest of the week but i was really looking forward to the friday as geting to play my first badminton tournament since last july in cardiff. I ended up geting a shitty enough draw and drew the number 3 seed which i wasnt bothered about and im mega lacking in practice at the minute but the game went to 3 sets and i was up in the third set but lost it 21-19.. and to those of you reading that play you will know thats a kick in the ass.. I wouldnt mind but the guy then goes on beating everyone else no bother only to loose in the final.. I also played in the doubles on saturday with Maurice a malaysian guy and we made it through to the semi finals which was a good result also loosing in 3 sets.
After that it was out on the town for a few drinks and the usual back to work monday.
