Had been looking forward to this week as i knew there was a fair bit going on here paddy's week/weekend. On monday i met up with Dave from Scotland who i had met in KL and traveled up to Tanah Rata in Malaysia so was good to catch up with him as he had been traveling about Australia the past 2 months or so. Work kept me busy then the rest of the week and myself and Karl hit the Bard on friday evening.
Saturday the 17th of March ...Paddy's day... work had asked me to work.. but i told them to feck off as there was no way i was working our national holiday (would have had a 4 day weekend had i been in Ireland)..lol...There had been loads of marketing on the radio and in the pubs here to get everyone out. Was supposed to dye me hair green but that feel through as Jackie our bar maid couldnt find the rite dye or something so not to worry. So had dinner early to set up for the day and myself and Karl headed on down to the Bog which was definitly the place to go for the day. Was supposed to go on some free bus that brought you on a pub crawl about the city but then were told you ended up spending more time on bus going about than in the bars.. Besides had already met a load of people we knew in the bog and they had a huge marquee set up with a stage and live music going all day. Paul and jeff from work joined us for drinks as well as some of their friends and staff from the bog. It turned out to be a really good nite and was still in the Bog 12 hours later when the rugby started.. Ireland beat italy in the six nations which was a good result for the day.. I was watching the match with cliff and 3 dublin girls we had met and then we had to watch the France scotland match to see if ireland could win on this points difference crap. It was about 5.30 in the morning when the bog closed and we were kicked out ...(politley of course) so off we went to the Bard which is 24 hour to watch the 2nd half of the Match... Last minute and we end up looseing... bit of a shitter to the end of a great day so off home and land in a bit wrecked by now at 6.30 in the morning.
Sunday was a bit of a rite off and failed miserably to get a decent sleep in ... Ended up with a load of photos of paddy's day out with not a clue who half the people are in the pictures.
