Well the train ride from russia to Mongolia was some craic between border crossings and beers en route but we made it safely to Mongolia's capital early in the morning along with the english couple we had met in the hostel and Heikki and Juhani from Finland who were also in the hostel with us. We all headed off then to the Golden Gobi guesthouse where we knew Trevor and the two ozzie lads would be we had met a few days prior in Irkurtsk.
After a free breakfast we got checked into the hostel and it was time for a well deserved lazy day... Absolutley shattered but perked up again in the afternoon after a big lunch and a few beers, Our little reunion continued that nite with a few more beers and a chat about a tour we could do... we started off talking and thinking about 5 days... suddenly it was obvious there was so much to do in Mongolia that we started looking at 21 days but we reduced that to 17 days to accomadate everyone....
Next day the seven of us decided to go ahead with the plan and saturday we would leave,,,, so we still had a few lazy days in the city to mess about and get organised,,,,to be honest Ulan Bator is a bit of a kip of a city so pretty much managed to buy some camera batteries and memory cards eat and drink and hang out....
