We arrived in the afternoon on the 22nd of May.  It was Gina's first time in France.  I had my 20 days over the winter before.  We made it from CDG to the Gare Nord and then I had my memory jogged when I remembered just how crappy it is to carry a full suitase thru the Paris Metro.  Poor Gina had an even bigger suitcase.
We managed to get to our stop, somewhere in Malakoff.  The stop was the opposite end of the 13 line from where I had lived during my last trip.  The village was beautiful.  The hotel was less than a 5 minute walk from the station (after we figured out what direction to take).  The hotel itself was a throw-back to the 70's in decor.  Window overlooking the street, perfect weather, perfect location, reasonable price.
We spent the next day ticking-off Gina's *big 5*.  We even managed to fit-in more than just the 5.  At the end of the night we met-up with my French friend and had dinner and a walk around Montmartre Gina and Notre Dame

.  All included in what I love about Paris.
The next day was included in what I do NOT love about Paris.  We left the hotel early and made our way to the Metro.  After a long conversation with the woman at the ticket office sold us tickets to get us to Orly.  We made it about half way and found the trains were on strike.  This is the second time I've been delayed by strikes on the trains in Paris.  The first time had me sitting for 4 hours at the airport, this time had me pissed-off and frantically searching for a cab I couldn't afford to the airport.  We managed to share a cab with 3 strangers and it was about 10 euros each.
We were at the airport and checked into our flight to Casablanca.
