Chefchaouen is everything I needed. Callie and I decided on the trip after the disaster of Marrakech. We just wanted to be on our own in a less-touristy place. Chefchaouen was a good choice. The only problems we had were related to weather and my terrible hayfever issues.
We even spent a little bit of time in Tetouan while we tried to figure out how to get a taxi to Chefchaouen.
We did it on our own and it gave both of us the courage we needed to say *yes! we can travel in a non-english speaking, non-european country and we'll be just fine*. I won't say it was the perfect trip, we had moments here at there but, overall it was a wonderful experience.
Everyone who visit Morocco should take the time and the effort to go to Chefchaouen.
