So, after the disaster that was Marrakech a few of us have decided to bypass Fez altogether. Instead we will be heading to the coast north of Rabat to Larache for Friday night. On Saturday the rest of the crew will head to Fez whereas a small few will head to a tiny city in the mountains called Chefchaouen. We'll stay there Saturday night and head back on a 5 hour bus ride to Rabat on Sunday afternoon. Everyone else will be fighting the crowds at the World Sacred Music Festival in Fez and will pay 50$ a night to stay outside the Medina. We'll be on our own in a 6-10$ a night hotel in the heart of the Medina.

I'm excited. This city doesn't even have an official tourist office!

Tonight i had my first drink in a muslim country. it was a corona, a cold, frosty, delicious corona. then i had sangria. it made me happy.
going again on thursday, maybe.
