Cape Tribulation
One day during my stay in Port Douglas, I headed off for a drive to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest. The drive was amazing, twisting and turning through the rainforest, much of the way not more than 40 km/ph. I had to cross the Daintree River by ferry, just a short trip, about 5 minutes. Many of the beaches along the way were picture perfect, including Thornton Beach, Noah Beach and Coconut Beach. Cape Tribulation is just a very small town, nestled among the rainforest. I stopped off at the local shop to grab a drink, then headed off on the return journey.
On the way I stopped off at Mossman Gorge, a picturesque place with brilliant walks through the rainforest and along the river. This was definitely a highlight of the day.
