Mount Isa

I arrived at Mount Isa late afternoon after passing the mines on the way into town. I headed straight for the backpackers and settled in to what was quite an ordinary place. I suppose you can't expect too much for $50. After speaking with the locals, they suggested the only thing worth visiting in town was the mine, so I gave the town the flick and left early the next morning heading for Hughenden.

I was on somewhat of a mission to get to the coast again so didn't stop longer than one night on this inland part of the trip.
