Anyway, after running away from the chaos of Paraguay - which we did not take any pictures of we decided to have dinner in Argentina. Argentina was a completely different atmosphere, very eclectic, happy, welcoming place. A very spanish feeling to it as you can see from the videos I added. We stopped to eat at a steak house with the most succulent meat and delicious potato wedges. I am also now in love with Chimicurri sauce, it's amazing!. Anyway I was sad we couldn't have spent more time in Argentina.
After spending a good few weeks visiting with Marcelo's mums family we visited Marcelo's friend from school - Marcelo, in Uberaba. We then took a road trip 1100km to Foz do Iguacu with the intention of visiting the Waterfalls which are one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. As foz is right on the boarder with Paraguay and Argentina we decided to pop in to visit. We left Uberaba in the evening and drove all night. We arrived at 6am in Foz and found a hotel to stay in. We slept a few hours and crossed the boarder to Paraguay which is famous in Brasil for being good value as there are no government taxes on purchases. Marcelo (not mine) bought a lot for his new house. I wouldn't want to go back to Paraguay - the prices are more or less uk prices and it's too chaotic for me. Marcelo had to bribe a guard to let us into the que to leave the country or we would have been in it for hours. Marcelo and I had nothing to do with this - we were back seat passengers.
