We stopped by Kilarney castle (as it is another heritage site and we were trying to make the most of our cards). It was nice, part of the same family (the Butlers) as some of the other sites. You can see it was lived in until recently. The rooms are all very well decorated and preserved, and they had the biggest toilet I've ever seen in a house.

Dunmore Caves is a great stop, the caves have some awesome stalactites and stalagmites. The guide old us all about how they are formed and also the history of the caves in particular during the Viking invasion. People hid in the caves and the Vikings came and smoked them out. A lot of bones were found in there and it’s thought the people suffocated. They also found a lot of Viking treasures that were stached down there. The most difficult part however is the 300 odd steps to get down to it..actually down was not the problem, it was coming back up! Though I was going to have a heart attack ;).
