Going back in time with telling some stories from
my diary of the time -- My
first real journey ever :
Worked in France, met my
Belgian girlfriend of the
following years and
discovered most of Europe!
Its been long before we quit Paris but we finally took a train to Reims.
Damn I would wish he would stop... he looks like Bernie while listing to his stupid walkman, gosh its annoying. At least I'm writing while enjoying the landscape, its changing a lot as more east we get. Its really beautiful and at Epernay the cathedral was sublime.
This morning to other moron was starting to roll himself a join before we left, like if we had only that to do... unicell brain! We should be arriving in Reims soon! And after we will spend the night in Verdun.
We finally visit Reims and especially its cathedral who is just great. The doors alone date from the Roman time!!!! There was also a big Jeanne D'Arc statue. We left more late and reached Chalon-en-Champagne where we had an hour to waste which I used to visit the cathedral, the Marne River. The Champagne coat of arms are the same that our flag... kinda great!
When we left to Verdun we had the view to a wonderful sunset on the field plain surrounding the region. And then the night felt by, which is the last I spend with Philippe. The youth hostel in Verdun is really well design with bedrooms splitted on 2 floors!(half floor beds) That is cool!!
