November 10

So I finally arrived in Maastricht early enough, I contacted Sander (HC:sbakkes) and Laura whom I met shortly on the square before going to bring my things at Sander and chat a bit with him and his girlfriend.

Later on, I went out again to go to Laura who was fully lazy in bed. We talked about HC and HCVOL and I used the Internet before going back later to Sander who arrived back even later.

---------------

November 11

Today was the opening day for the Carnaval of Maastricht and the party was in the air. Already during the morning you could hear the noises. Sander was working there in the beer tent from the morning and on my case I only went out to meet the other HC member at the meeting point for the day.

Frank Verhart was there as organisator (HC:fverhart), Rik (HC:crikey), Joeri (HC:joerifromberlgium), and Marcel (HC:marcelb). We waited and Maria finally joined who is a student exchange from Finland. So we went to the festivities first thinking of finding Sander but we had to forget that idea since it was way too crowdy.

I talked with every one of them and with Maria especially during the afternoon, but even more during the evening. Later, Laura joined us and as a surprised Arjen arrived as well (HC:dikkeharry) whom it was great to meet again!

The beers flew and I personnally hadn't eat a lot so it was suffering on the good way. We finally went to a rip-off kebab by the Markt and had a short snack that wasn't filling. We continued walking in the city and the festivities and during the evening Sander was suppose to be a DJ at a party and I had the adress. So we moved there around 10hpm but Sander wasn't there yet, so it was slightly awkward at first and Maria was as well not ease feeling that I wasn't fine with the situation. It turned out well, Maria received a beer and mixed with the crowded and I relaxed for a while until Sander arrived.

Then later the party went on and lots of people came in and it was more nice to talk with different people and there was lots lots of Heineken and Grolsch!

Frank got pretty drunk and also Joeri, Rik and Maria organised to stay at Sander for the night. Late that night I left with Maria back home and we talked a lot about philosophy, travelling and homesickness. We entered home together and get to sleep one along each other!

November 12

Joeri left early... Rik later on but slept deep late. I was still lying in bed and things went one after another with hugs and kisses... I was suppose to leave early and she as well, we stayed in bed late and she didnt want that I go so I as well stayed longer as I could. Its been a huggy and lovely morning and I loved her smile and it was great.

Finally Maikel sent me sms knowing if I was still leaving Maastricht since I was suppose to meet him on the way to spend a part of the day and then he would drive me to Den Haag. Its later in the afternoon that I had no choice to get up and leaving, late, to meet Maikel in Eindhoven and Maria went back home too. So I arrived in Eindhoven by nearly dusk and we talked along the road on the way to Oss. Once in the vicinity of Oss, we drove over the dyke to have a view of the neighbouring historic villages and hamlet and a view over the Maas by night, going to Oss for a snacks.

After a while we headed to Den Haag, stopping for a hot chocolate on the way and to arrive after 21h in Den Haag. It was great to meet Maikel after all the time we had meet on the chat so far (HC:lourensenm). I will look forward to meet again.
