We woke up lazyly on this wednesday (5th) prepared ourselves use the jacuzzi and then went out to walk in the city of Venlo. The downtown is really charming, its a little town but has quite decent little shopping street. I managed to get 2 dias films at a photo store - taking some of my few euros - and we kept walking and went to sit along the river after eating some local pastry.
Venlo : is a little town between the Maas and the german border. Eventhough it has suffer much during the war there is still old building standing and a good atmosphere (the allied bomb the town thinking they were above Germany).
After the tour, We bought some bread and chips and went to get our bag, leaving a note to Arjen, and hiked to the best HH spot. We had to wait a moment but got a ride from a man who made us do the half way to Nijmegen at a Highway inbound. We didn't too long there either before getting a second ride direct to our place in Nijmegen. We had to wait a moment before Jijo arrived so afterwards we got to talk with his flatmate. I also discover that a can of Fanta had open in my bag making my clothes damp, sticky and stinky. So my first priority has been washing them. Spending time with Jijo, preparing food in the communal big industrial kitchen of this student village (which look like a big military barrack!).
Later, Aurelie came by (Kenza888) and the night went on and finally I moved on to her place to sleep after a not so short bike ride. We also had some talk and a seek for a specific grafitti on a wall somewhere.

October 6
The next morning (6th) has been lazy... slow wake up in the student residence where Aurelie lives and trying to pass incognito so that her flatmate would get crazy again about all those HC guest. I manage then to walk on a misty morning till the university restaurant and waited there for Liis to come over with Herman (manis).
We simply walk on the campus talking and having a lunch until manis left to his course then me and Liis walked over to town. I didn't have my camera with me so I could take any photos. But Nijmegen isn't a nice city, it has been quiet destroyed during the war and not well rebuild after it (the american has mistakenly bombed it after its liberation by... the americans = see : Band of Brothers). There is a nice church though its really dead and cold inside it and of course the famous bridge!
The sun peaked out so it wasn't bad walking in bermudas the whole day. Eventhough it isn't worth architecturally there was some nice little square and corner. It's a lively city though : student!.
We walked back to Jijos and fought for the net. When he arrived we went away to a pancakes party at another member. It's the first time I saw pancakes being eaten with tomate - salami - bacon and so...
I sticked to the sugar ones. Some member introduction (grappig) and Chris (Zaubii) drove the way to Nijmegen from Dusseldorf as well. Some drinking and a late night. Liis wasn't so well and Chris and her definitively needed to talk so they left together back to Germany and I slept at Jijo and a drunk Aurelie as well! ;)
