Tuesday 26th August
We landed about 10.15 am which was earlier than expected. We were greeted at the airport by my sister Nadine and her son Jonah who was wearing his black NZ t-shirt for the occasion. My parents were also there as we needed 2 vehicles to get all our stuff down to Reigate.
It was warm but dull and overcast in London, but we were not worried about the weather..... We had too much of the stuff in the US quite frankly.
We drove to Leatherhead which is in Surrey and is on the way to Reigate along the M25 motorway. We had been invited to have lunch there with Nadine and Gavin at their house before driving on to my parents.
Gavin had made the loveliest lunch - lasagne and home made blackberry pie. The pie was topped with pastry which he had made into a NZ flag which was really clever and very thoughtful.
The kids were very tired but were so well behaved and played nicely with their cousin. It helped that they have a Wii which they play on the TV. Zach thought it was magic and so that kept them going until we decided it was time to get them back to Granny and Granddads house so we could all go to bed.
The kids were in bed by 7pm and we were in bed by about 8.30.
