Thursday 14th August
We have decided to stay exactly where we are today and tonight as we are now the only ones here. The other family left and we pinched there spot which is RIGHT by the water and the site we are parked on is huge!
It is very hot but the water is very cold!! We are still swimming though as it looks so delicious! Holly and Zach have been panning for gold all morning and Steve reckons that it would really make his trip if he could only find about an ounce of the stuff! (it would be worth about $900US) we have found tiny specks but I don't think its enough somehow!
The rest of the day was spent relaxing in the water, reading, etc.
We had probably the last camp fire of the trip although we haven't had many along the way! We found enough wood from the surrounding area to make a decent fire and toasted our marshmallows until it was time for bed.
