Sunday 10th August

We decided that Indy looked so sad and dirty that we should give her a clean and get the bugs off the front! Steve did that while we did the inside, even borrowing a hoover from a neighbour. It took about 3 hours, and then Morris phoned to say he was only an hour away! We went into panic mode and started scrubbing even harder but we were just getting the last of the dreaded bugs off the front as he drove up.

He and Steve spent some time looking at the RV and going through all the paperwork.

Morris decided that he was going to buy Indy so ...We SOLD IT!!!!! And we nearly got back what we initially paid for it so we are very happy. We rang NZ and got hold of the travel agent who managed to bring our flights forward to 25th August. So Morris was happy and we are very happy too. We are all now a little weary of camping and driving and are looking forward to a HOLIDAY!!! Ha ha ha!

So we now only have 2 weeks left and therefore we are scrapping the plan to go to Vancouver this week as there is no need. We have agreed to meet Morris at the Airport on the morning of our departure to hand over the RV and receive the outstanding balance into our account.

We are waiting to receive an email from the travel agent with written confirmation of the new flight details but as we have heard no more back from NZ today we believe it must have been booked.

So Aunty Jo we will possibly be coming over to see you shortly before we leave, maybe as foot passengers from Vancouver to Nanaimo as we think it is going to be too expensive to bring the RV across. So we look forward to seeing you shortly. I will email you separately to confirm this and to arrange a suitable time etc.

As poor Morris had slept only 6 hours in the middle of his 14 hour trip we gave him some strong black coffee and then we all had chilli and Doritos and salad as an early dinner. When all the business and eating was done he left to drive home!

We moved from our site to a quieter one on the other side of the park seeing as everyone had left and Steve and the kids went for a bike ride while I wrote this blog and now I have caught up and so it is time to catch a bit of the Olympics on TV!
