We were supposed to be back at the surgery at 9 am for a check up on my new tooth, we were a bit late oops! I felt like I had been hit by a bus and felt particularly fragile. My jaw was very swollen too.
Once Jason was satisfied that my tooth was exactly in the right place and that my bite was correct I was dosed up with pain killers and we left. We had a loose arrangement to may be go water skiing again later but we didn't definitely expect to go as Jason was very busy and we didn't want him to feel he should be under pressure to take us.
I felt shocking and very tired so we chilled out on the beach by the lake
We were just about to eat tea when Jason and James appeared in their car asking us to go and do some water skiing. If I had felt any better I might have had a go but it was Holly who was really keen so we got her into the water to learn. Fortunately we had brought the kids shortie wetsuits so we were well equipped for water skiing. Holly was very determined and nearly got up on her skis. However it was getting pretty dark and she got very tired so we put Zach and James on the "biscuit" and pulled them along behind the boat until we could hardly see them in the fading light and we gave up. They had a great time and we had a lot of fun.
I failed to mention that we started the session with young James who is only 5, water skiing like a true professional, wiggling his hips and looking very relaxed. That is until Jason said "let's try getting him to cross the wake!" which he was perfectly capable of but clearly didn't feel confident about and so he started crying, while he was still competently remaining on his skis. I have never seen anything so amazing in my life!
We were very late getting to bed again!
